Most Bethlehem renters need one of five units. A standard PolyJohn PJN3 covers jobsites and casual parties. A deluxe flushing unit with a sink inside suits weddings and client-facing sites. A We'll Care III accessible unit is required for 5% of any public cluster under the 2010 ADA Standards. Hand wash stations satisfy food-vendor rules. Trailers are for formal events.

Jobsites on weekdays, parties on weekends.
Bethlehem deliveries split between construction and renovation sites on 28-day cycles with weekly service, and weekend events: graduations, backyard weddings, church festivals, Musikfest vendor areas, and sports tournaments. We also cover emergencies such as septic failures and water shutoffs, delivered the same day when you call before noon.

OSHA-sized units, weekly service, 28-day billing until you call for pickup.

Friday delivery, Monday pickup, one price. Sized with the PSAI chart.

Flushing units and restroom trailers for barns, tents and backyards.

Multi-day clusters, morning pumping, 5% accessible units.

Yard units for distribution centers, turnarounds and remote crews.

Holding tanks and same-day units for septic failures and water shutoffs.
What happens after you call.
A Bethlehem porta potty rental takes five steps: quote by phone or form, choose a level spot within 25 feet of truck access, delivery (same-day before noon or next business day), weekly service on 28-day rentals, and a pickup you request by phone. Billing stops the day we pick up. Every step is explained on the rental process page.
Placement rule of thumb. Our truck needs 12 feet of width and 13 feet of overhead clearance. The unit goes within 25 feet of the truck on firm, level ground. A standard PJN3 fits through a 48-inch gate; the accessible We'll Care III needs 8 feet.
Six minutes from downtown, and a long way past it.
We serve every Bethlehem ZIP (18015, 18017, 18018, 18020) on both the Northampton and Lehigh County sides: the South Side, Center City and the Historic District, West Bethlehem, Bethlehem Township, Hanover Township, Fountain Hill, Freemansburg and Hellertown. Allentown, Easton, Nazareth and the rest of the Lehigh Valley are in the delivery-included zone. Longer routes reach the Poconos, Reading, Scranton and the Philadelphia suburbs.
Check a ZIP for delivery zone and timing
Each area page lists the local permit office, event rules and the sections we reach. A delivery outside the 15-mile zone carries one flat route fee that is on your quote before you say yes.
Why people call Martin instead of a national line.
A local operator quotes a real price on the first call, delivers from a yard six minutes from downtown Bethlehem, and services units on a fixed weekly route. National call centers collect your address, put you on hold, and resell the job to whichever hauler paid for the lead that week. With us the person who quotes the job is the person who delivers it.
We know the City of Bethlehem right-of-way form, the Special Events restroom guideline (2 units per 500 people, 5% accessible) and the Health Bureau hand-washing rule for food vendors. Winter ready: January lows in Bethlehem average about 22°F, so tanks get non-toxic antifreeze from mid-November.
Eight questions come up on almost every call from Bethlehem: what it costs, whether we can come today, whether you need to be home, one day versus the weekend, how often a jobsite unit is cleaned, whether we are local, who pays for damage, and whether a unit can sit on the street. The answers below are the ones we give on the phone.
A standard PolyJohn PJN3 starts at $225 for a weekend event (Friday delivery, Monday pickup) and $185 per 28-day cycle for construction or home projects, plus a one-time $65 delivery and pickup fee on 28-day rentals. Both include delivery within 15 miles of Bethlehem. PA sales tax (6%) is added. Flushing, accessible and trailer prices are on the pricing guide. Your itemized quote is the final number.
Same-day delivery in Bethlehem, Allentown, Easton and the rest of the Lehigh Valley is available when you call before noon, Monday through Saturday. After noon we fit you in if a route truck is nearby; otherwise the unit arrives next business day. There is no same-day fee when a truck is already in your area. A dedicated trip adds $75, and we tell you which applies before you book.
No. Mark the spot with a cone, a flag or a note in the order, unlock the gate, and keep the path clear of cars and low branches. The driver calls 30 minutes before arrival and sends a photo of the placed unit.
For events the price is a flat Friday-to-Monday rate, so a Saturday party and a three-day festival setup cost the same per unit. We do not run a per-day meter. For a weekday event we drop off the day before and pick up the day after at the same flat rate.
Once a week is included on every 28-day rental: pump the tank, pressure-wash the interior, restock two tissue rolls and sanitizer, and recharge the deodorizer. Crews of more than 10 workers per unit, or sites with 10-hour days, should move to twice-weekly service for $45 per unit per week.
Martin Rental Works is a one-owner company at 312 Brodhead Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Martin takes the call, prices the job, and either drives the route or dispatches his own driver. We do not broker your order to another hauler, and the number on this page rings in Bethlehem.
You are responsible for the unit while it is on your site, including tip-overs, graffiti and theft, up to the repair or replacement cost listed in the rental terms. Stakes, a lock hasp and a spot out of the wind reduce the risk. Report damage the same day and we will reset or swap the unit.
Only with a City of Bethlehem Engineering permit. Any container in the public right-of-way needs the Engineering Bureau permit ($50 for containers, $1M liability insurance naming the City) and street openings are barred December 1 to March 1. Private driveways, yards and lots need no permit. The application form is on the City site.
